“I love working in Dermatology, because I enjoy helping patients look and feel great about themselves by managing and treating their unique skin conditions.”
Kathryn Harrison is a Board-Certified Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants since 2012. She also earned a Certificate of Added Qualifications (CAQ) in Dermatology in 2024. The DMSc degree is exclusive for Physician Assistants who seek advanced clinical skills, education, professionalism, leadership, medical research, to publish in peer-reviewed medical journals and present research at national conferences. Her research was concentrated on skin cancer detection using dermoscopy; to determine if the implementation of dermoscopy improves the accuracy, specificity, and sensitivity rates of skin cancer detection among dermatology clinicians and identify the optimal training method for dermatology clinicians to become proficient in dermoscopy. Kathryn is the recipient of the 2024 Doctor of Medical Science Capstone Award of Excellence from A.T. Still University.
Kathryn completed advanced training in dermatology through a didactic fellowship program through the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA) in 2018.
